Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
Shifts: 7.00am-3.00pm -3.00pm-10.00pm

What we need from you

The main purpose of your job is to supervise other team members as well as supporting people to be as involved as possible in every part of their day to day lives so that they can be full and active members of society. To safely promote and encourage independence, choice, and community inclusion. Always respecting that you are supporting the person within their own home. Holmleigh care are committed to ensuring that the REACH standards are at the core of its supported living services however the principles for those with learning disabilities and/or Autism around living a good life that focuses on choice, Independence and equal opportunity is integral to our ethos and all those we support whether this be within our residential homes or supported living services.

We are Supporting services users with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Behaviours of concern, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, Epilepsy and Complex Needs.

Ensuring all clients live a good life that focuses on choice, Independence and equal opportunity is integral to our ethos and all those we support whether this be within our residential homes or supported living services

Skills and Experience required

  • A genuine desire to promote an individual’s independence and provide person centred care.
  • Innovative and forward thinking
  • Excellent communication skills are required, as well as excellent listening skills, as you will be supporting people who use various methods of communication
  • Good listening skills
  • Knowledge/experience/desire to support individuals with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities or Challenging Behaviour
  • Good basic comprehension of English language including basic literacy and numerical skills i.e., GCSE level or equivalent
  • Level 3 Diploma in health and social care or equivalent
  • Previously experience as a Senior Support Worker for 4+ Years
  • Hold a full driving licence
