Bumper pay rise for Holmleigh team

We’re pleased to announce that Holmleigh Care is responding to the cost of living crisis by investing in a landmark pay increase for its frontline workers.

Support workers at Holmleigh will receive a significant pay hike, to a market-leading rate of between £10.20 – £11.25 per hour (depending on role and location).

The move is in recognition of the hard work dedication and commitment of the staff team, particularly throughout the past 18 months, as well as responding to the recruitment challenges the sector is currently facing.

The announcement comes shortly after this year’s budget announcement, which will see the national living wage rise to £9.50 from 1 April 2022. The new rates at Holmleigh will exceed those offered by the government rise, providing a significant annual pay rise for a full-time worker. The increase will be implemented on hours worked from December 2021 onwards, giving workers an instant pay rise in their January pay packet.

Greg Lapham, CEO at Holmeligh Care, commented “Social Care has always been a low paid role, yet those who work in the sector are amongst the most compassionate, dedicated and committed people you could hope to meet. I firmly believe that our team deserves better pay for the work that they do to improve the lives of the people we support and the board and I are delighted to be able to offer market-leading rates of pay for both current and new team members.”

The new pay rates are being rolled out to all new recruits as well as the existing team. As well as great rates of pay, new team members receive a comprehensive training and induction programme; ongoing support and personal development, plus the chance to have a rewarding long-term career with a well-established company.

Alicia, Manager of the some of company’s supported living services in Swindon commented: “The staff here are delighted with the pay increase and the excellent support from the senior team. Everyone here is passionate about doing what they do and the extra money is welcome recognition of their hard work. We all agree it is an exciting time to be working at Holmleigh.”
